Our Missions
|
Our Missions Acts 1:8 – Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Matthew 25:40 – Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Arbor Dale Presbyterian Church is a part of the universal Body of Christ that seeks to spread the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ. We do this by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. This work is done in many different ways including the following ministries in whom we support with volunteers and with financial support: |

Internationally Grace Mission – Haiti Barbara Nagy Short term mission trips Our congregation has supported various members who have gone on short term trips to Alaska, Haiti, and China. Other Areas Our congregation also takes up the “5 cents per meal” offering every other month that goes to special projects and hunger relief in our region and overseas. We also take up the “One Great Hour of Sharing” offering on Easter Sunday that primarily goes to Church World Services. During Christmas time we take part in the Christmas Shoe Box effort of Samaritan’s Purse as well as an Adopt-a-Family program that provides Christmas gifts for families in need. We also take part in the Relay for Life and Crop Walk. We minister to our members through a Help Fund and the providing of meals, cards and flowers in times of need.
If you have any questions or would like to help us in these ministry areas please contact the church office at 898-4628. |
