Who we are.
Dr. Rick Breusch
Minister of Preaching and Congregational Care
After more than 40 years in pastoral ministry, Rick and his wife, Cheryl, decided to spend their retirement years in the beauty of the High Country of western North Carolina. Rick shares messages from God’s Word on most Sundays and participates in the church’s robust congregational care ministry. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Baptist Seminary.

Dr. Paul Smith
Interim Pastor
Dr. Paul Spaulding Smith earned his Doctorate of ministry (Emphasis in Church Growth) from Fuller Theological Seminary
after earning his Master of Divinity Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
He served ten years as an associate pastor at First Presbyterian Hendersonville and 17 years as a Bivocational Pastor at Crossnore Presbyterian.
His special interests include Discipleship, Evangelism and Church Growth domestically and internationally.

Andrew and Bethany Goins
Worship and Congregational Care
Andrew and Bethany were married and immediately (through God's calling) began to serve the Arbor Dale family.
After completing a Masters in Music Therapy at App State, Bethany began serving Arbor Dale at a fuller capacity, assuming the responsibilities of congregational care and worship coordinator.
Andrew serves as the liturgist and communications coordinator, leading men's Bible study and preaching once a month. After completing a Masters of Arts in Reformed Theology, he began working towards a Masters of Divinity, in hopes of becoming a pastor in the Presbyterian Church.

Madeline Horne
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Madeline has been working with kids for as long as she can remember. She’s taught dance classes for 10 years, opened a licensed preschool, and has been working at Holston Center since 2019.
She graduated from Lees-McRae College in 2020 with a degree in Psychology and Education, and now serves as the Program Director for Holston.
Madeline is excited to serve Arbor Dale as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, and looks forward to sharing the love of God with kiddos!
